family mediation
“I know my marriage is over and I should sort things out but I can’t face a long legal battle. Once courts are involved I know it can turn nasty and expensive.“
Not an unfamiliar situation for many people which is why at AMD we offer an alternative way of approaching and resolving the issues that arise on a breakdown of a relationship.
Mediation supports couples going through separation and divorce through guided discussion. The mediator is an independent and impartial third party who can ensure that the discussions are fair and balanced , the participants feel safe and that the focus can be on meeting their future needs, agreeing financial issues and the needs of any children.
You can contact our mediator directly as a first step or alongside meeting with and being advised by your solicitor.
Sometimes it may not be possible to reach an agreement on every issue but outcomes that you have created together for your own family and circumstances are more likely to be successful than those imposed on you by the court process.
To instruct our Mediatiator or to learn more about our Mediation Service please contact Anne Thistlethwaite. Anne is an experienced family lawyer in addition to being a family mediator trained by Resolution.
